I teach EXCLUSIVELY Musical Theatre (Broadway) and Classical styles.

  • What ages do you teach?

I teach ages 10 (5th grade) and up.

  • Do you teach beginners?

Absolutely IF you are SERIOUS about singing and developing your unique voice, I am the teacher for you! No prior experience is required if you are dedicated and passionate about singing Musical Theatre or Classical styles.

  • Do you teach piano or guitar?

NO. I only teach singing and performing skills related to singing. I do teach musicianship when appropriate and necessary.

  • Do you teach online?

I do! I have been teaching online since 2010. I use Skype as my main platform as I have found it to be the best quality of sound for singing. But zoom is also a possibility for 30 minute lessons.

  • What happens at a first voice lesson?

Our first lesson is really designed to see if you and I are a good “fit.” First we will chat a bit to get to know one another, find out about your singing goals, and your background in singing (if any). Then I will listen to you sing, using both vocal exercises and with a song if appropriate. Finally, I will give you my thoughts on your voice and what I think I could do for you as a teacher.

  • Am I the teacher for you?

Do you want to pursue excellence in your singing and performing?

Do you want to go to college for Musical Theatre/Vocal performance?

Do you want to pursue a career in Musical Theatre?

Do you want to audition for your local theatre company’s/ high school musical?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then I’m the teacher for you!

My teaching is best suited to teenagers and adults who are interested in seriously pursuing singing and developing their craft in the Musical Theatre/Broadway and Classical genres.

  • What can a voice lesson do for me?

Here are a few life changing things voice lessons can do:

Voice lessons first and foremost help you develop your instrument by learning healthy vocal techniques so that you can sing for a lifetime, and you learn a range of other skills (diction, acting, musicianship, musicality) to grow as a singer, performer, and artist.

Voice lessons cultivate strong focus and concentration, improve memory, teach successful multi-tasking, encourage imagination, and develop poise, professionalism, and confidence.

Voice lessons connect you with a professional/teacher/mentor who shares your passion for the art form. A voice teacher is a supportive, encouraging, inspirational guide in the complicated, emotionally fraught world of singing.

Voice lessons help the development and discovery of ourselves as unique, thinking, feeling, creative beings.
